Online Image Library

The library contains a wide range of images for use in your Vision Board Software (VBS). Use images that truly represent your goals; the closer an image represents your aspirations the more effective it will be!

Step 1
Select one of the categories on the left.

Step 2
When you have found an image, click “download image”. Select a location to save the image to.
If a download box does not appear and instead the image appears in another window then right click on the image and select “save image as..”

Step 3
When you have downloaded all the images you wish to have. Go to your Vision Board Wizard and select the downloaded images from your image folder.

Poster Creator

The Poster Creator is designed to create a physical vision board in a printed format from your digital vision board. It will give you the opportunity to create the collage look and feel of a traditional poster board with the added benefit of digital quality pictures. This module is able to import your vision board from the VBS Studio, you can print it form you home printer or you can involve your local print shop for a poster size.

To create a poster from your personally created vision board:

Open the Taskbar Manager

Select Poster Icon displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the Taskbar Manager (see picture)

Click on the File at the top
Choose the option: Import vision board
Select an item from the list
Click on Open

The images from your imported vision board are shown on the canvas immediately
You can click on the pictures to change the size and to move them around

Go to the library menu at the top, to import the text from your personal vision board
The affirmations and power words are located in their separate column at the bottom of the list

Double click on the affirmation/power word of your choice
The text will appear in the text box
Here you can manipulate the text further regarding font, color, style and size
To insert, click on the desired spot of your canvas, or click on add text

The brush color is the color behind the text, in the example here this is light blue

Tip: By selecting the text on the screen you can also change the features and move it around. Beware that you deselect your text or object (by clicking on a blank part of the canvas) when you want to add a new line of text or object.

Select the image of your choice
You will see a box around the image, which means you can change it
Now you can scale, rotate and move the object

You can also change the mask of the image/object by choosing a different one from the tool on the left

Tip: In order to retain the proportion of your image when scaling, hold down the shift key while you change the size of your image.

You can also add a shape to your object or text
All new objects will appear on the top layer of the canvas

You can change the position of the layer by using these up-and-down keys
One arrow means one layer, two arrows means at the top or the bottom of all layers

Tip: Every image, object or text is one a different layer. It may seem the up-and-down keys are not working, but this is because there may be several layers between your objects that are not obvious.

The possibilities are endless, but here is an example of what you can create:

You can add more image by using this button
Just browse in your pictures folder and select the images you want

When you are finished. Save your poster using the Save button.
This will ensure your poster is saved with all the layers intact.

When you want to transform your poster into a picture, you will need to export to Jpeg. Using this feature you are able to send it to your local print shop or display your vision board on your website.
When changing the amount of pixels, you will see your picture size change as well

Tip: For printing to a large scale ensure that the quality of your “Jpeg” is the highest possible. Images used in a digital format may need to use a lesser quality resolution, due to the file size.

Movie Recorder

The movie recorder provides you with the ability to record your vision board presentation as an AVI movie and play it back where you like. You can record your presentation and play it back on an iPod, PDA, YouTube, digital photo frame or even someone else’s computer. It is also possible play Vision Board AVIs on DVD players (must support AVI or DIVX).

The Movie Recorder is easy to use. By default it will record your current script with the theme you have just used. This is how it works:

A. Select which format you would like to record for. Consider what you would like to play back your movie on, e.g., iPod (MP4 format), websites, or general purpose.
B. Start recording. When you feel you have recorded enough, e.g. when all your images have been displayed press the button again to stop recording.

By selecting the “Scripts and Themes” tab along the top your are presented with more options:

C. Change the script to the one you wish to record.
D. Change the theme of your script. The standard recording defaults to the last theme you viewed. Use this drop down list to select a different theme.
E. Adjust the name of the resulting Video. You will also be asked to name the file when you press “start recording”.
F. Open the folder where you movies are saved.

The advanced tab has even more options but unless you have a good understanding of filters and codecs we suggest you leave the settings unchanged.

VBS Manager

VBS (Taskbar) Manager is a handy tool that can be found in the notification area of your desktop. The VBS Manager provides easy access to the VBS Studio and the ability quickly view your vision boards.

To open the VBS Manager click on the icon in the notification area. The notification are is generally in the bottom right of your desktop.

It is also possible to click on the VBS Manager icon with the right mouse button, this action brings up a short pup-up menu that allows you to easily pause and un-pause the VBS activity. This is a handy feature if you are taking your laptop into a meeting.

Windows 7 Tip
If you are using Windows 7 then the VBS icon might be initially be hidden. If you want the VBS Taskbar manager to always be visible then you will need to customize your notification icons. Click on the small triangle to display hidden icons and change the settings for the VBS icon.

The VBS Manager is divided into two main sections. The top half is designed for quick and easy access to your vision boards.

Step 1. Select the vision board you want to launch. It is also possible to activate or deactivate scripts on this first panel. If a script is “active” that means it is available for selection if you are using the VBS as your screen-saver. When the presentation starts as a screen-saver it selects a random script from the list of active vision boards. Each time the screen-saver begins the VBS manager will choose a vision board that has not yet been presented. Click on the ball on the left of the script name to switch the activate state, green being active, grey non-active.

Step 2. Choose the presentation style. The VBS comes with a number of themes to display your script. If you select “random” then the VBS Manager will make the decision for you. This is a good option if you are using the VBS as your screen-saver.

Step 3. Run your script. Your vision board can be presented in full-screen mode, i.e., the vision board takes over your entire screen. Or it can be displayed in a small window on your desktop. This is a great feature if you wish to continue working but want to take inspiration from your vision board.

The lower half of the VBS manager window provides easy access to other parts of the VBS System – such as the VBS Studio, VBS Poster Creator and the VBS Movie Recorder.

If you want to temporarily pause VBS activity then click on this icon. The caption will change to indicate that the VBS is paused until such time that you restart it or your restart your computer.

Summary:
Activating scripts – toggle active status of a vision board script by clicking the ball to the left of the script name.

Theme – select one of the themes or the random option.

Viewing your vision board – in full screen mode the presentation will take over the entire screen. In windowed mode the presentation will be displayed in a window on your desktop that you can move around and continue to carry on working.

Pausing VBS – it is possible to pause the VBS so that the presentation and balloon pop-up do not disturb you when you go into a meeting.

VBS Studio

The VBS Studio is the central part of the VBS System. The Studio is used to create and edit your vision boards and it also has a number of other important functions like printing and sharing.
