Sharing your Vision Board with others

How to share your Vision Board with others

In other sections I have explained how you can create you own personal vision board, how you can print it to hang on your office wall or kitchen fridge. In another section I have also explained how you can create a static image (or several images) of your vision board and use this as the background of your mobile phone or PDA.

However, when you want to transfer your vision to second desktop computer, you don’t need to settle for a stationary image. You can transfer your vision across to another computer or even share your vision with friends and colleagues. Your chosen vision board script will be able run as a screensaver on this other computer and is even able to show the matching popup balloons and desktop wallpaper. In order to do this, the software will create a screensaver application file from your vision board of choice.

To make a vision board application file:

  • Go to the Vision Board Control Panel
  • Select a vision board
  • Click on the Share Icon
  • Confirmation message appears
  • Click on OK

Your shared vision board application will automatically be saved in your output folder. In below screen shot you will see that the output is a vision board application, because it has a circular icon in front of the name, the extension is called .exe and the Type of file is Application.

You can send the screen saver application file as an attachment to someone else. This vision board application is packaged into a setup file, called an executable (extension .exe). You can email this to someone else or make it available on an internal company network or website. When sending this shared vision board as an email attachment make sure that the recipient does not use anti-spam software that removes executable files.

To install the shared vision board double click on the setup icon and follow the installation steps. The Vision Board screen saver will automatically be set as the default screensaver.
