What is Vision Board and what can I expect?
The purpose of Vision Board is to help you create your personalized digital dream board. Your vision board will run as a screen saver, but you can also print your vision board and set it to your desktop wallpaper. You can even have your goals pop up as balloon reminders! Please read other section of this online user guide which will guide you through the creation process and discuss all the possibilities of the software in more detail. This section highlights the basics components of the Vision Board and familiarizes you with certain terminology.
A traditional vision board or dream board
A traditional vision board is a piece of cardboard paper with pictures or magazine cut-outs of your goals and dreams in life. The Vision Board software creates a digital version of a traditional vision board. This vision board script runs as a screensaver, but you can also use it for a variety of other features.
The Wizard
You create your vision board script with the Vision Board Wizard. Making your vision board is straightforward. You select your images, add your affirmations and power words and select your background image. To help you find suitable images, the software has a built-in link to an extensive image library. In addition the software contains a collection of inspirational affirmations and power words. Other section of this online help page will explain the purpose of affirmation and power words and will explain how you can use the affirmation and power word libraries included in the software.
The Control Panel
The Control Panel is an important part of the Wizard and enables you to start the creation process of designing your own digital vision board. You can create new scripts or edit existing ones. From the Control Panel you are able to Preview a vision board script in order to sample what your vision board will look like as a screen saver, you can Print your vision board to paper or Export the vision board to your mobile phone or other electronic device (see section on exporting). You can also share your vision board screen saver with others by choosing the Share function. This means you can email your vision board to friends or colleagues. Furthermore, from the Control Panel you can access the Vision Board Settings. All different options of the settings menu are explained in more detail in the settings section of this help page.
The Manager
The bar along the bottom of your windows desktop is called the windows taskbar or toolbar. You will find the Vision Board Manager in the notification area on the right-hand side of the taskbar. It is quick and easy to run your screen saver by going to the Manager and selecting Show Vision Board. In this case you don’t need to wait for your screen saver to appear automatically, you are in control! You can also set a different vision board script as default by clicking on Select Vision Board script. The Manager will also display your affirmations and matching power words in a popup balloon every 15 minutes. Of course you are able to customize the time setting and other features of your vision board in the settings area.
