How do I add my images to my Vision Board?
The images you choose are at the center of your vision board. The images are representations of your goals and visualizing these goals is a key element in achieving your goals. This chapter will give detailed information on how to incorporate your images in your vision board and how to use the mask.
Adding your images
When you have opened a new vision board script:
|
|
Tip: Double click on one of the empty fields on the right-hand side
Wait a few moments until your picture appears in one of the boxes on the right-hand side of the page. Repeat the process.
| Tip: When you are browsing for an image you can make searching for pictures easier by changing the view settings of your Windows Explorer dialog to thumbnails. This way you can see tiny versions of your pictures. The picture on the right shows you where you can change this. |
Tip: You can add more than one picture at a time by holding down the control or shift key while selecting multiple images. Then you click Open to insert the images into your vision board script.
Adding a mask to your image
When you have added the images you want to use, you can frame your images nicely by adding a mask. A mask is an excellent way to display your pictures. Just like you would bring your pictures to a picture framing shop to enhance the look, you can use these masks in the software as well to do just that! You have several options available to you and you can choose the exact right mask to fit your picture.
After you have inserted an image (or more):
- Select a mask
- Click on the radio button next to the name of the mask
- The result will be visible immediately in the enlargement section
You can choose one mask per image and you can change the mask at any point in time.
You can choose a mask that fits well with the picture and the feeling you are trying to get across. This way you can show your images in an eclectic mix of different masks. On the other hand, you can also use the mask to bring uniformity to your vision board. In this case, choose masks with the same shape to bring your images together.
Continue the process by adding affirmations and power words to your image (see next chapter).
Some technical notes
To get the best out of your Vision Board, ensure that your pictures have a high quality resolution. The resolution of a picture means the number of pixels a picture contains. The higher this number is the better the quality of your picture. If your picture is very small or it is of a low resolution, it will appear vague and/or grainy. If you are not sure what kind of figures to look for, then go for a picture of at least 100kB in size. You can see the size by switching to detailed view in your folder or by using the right mouse click and selecting properties.
Pictures come in different formats. If you have trouble inserting a certain picture into the software this may be because of the format it is in. Without getting too technical you want to stick to the two main formats that have the extensions; .jpeg or .jpg and .bpm.
