Vividly visualizing your future life!
July 27, 2009 2:32 ama real fun and powerful way to visualize is to clearly SEE yourself living the life your are visualizing, while generating the feelings you will have. You could see yourself doing the things you would do with your new partner, you could envision spending the extra spare time you are wanting to create or you could see yourself donating to your favorite charity. Take some time for this, sit down and really FEEL your future life. The more vivid your visualization is, the better the result.
One thing I personally find particularly fun and exciting to visualize is a new home. If it is your goal to live in a new home, think for yourself what it will look like, how you will feel waking up in your home and where you will have your breakfast. Envision the view you will have and the fun you will have living in it.
Dorian R Toussaint shared with me how he visualized and eventually attracted his dream home, with the intention of inspiring you too:
“About 15 years ago I had this idea of my dream home, about 450 square
meters of house – 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a study, sunken lounge,
TV room, dining room, bar, kitchen with granite tops, scullery,
workshop, double garage, under floor heating, fire place, a patio with
built in braai, a swimming pool and space, plenty of it! I wanted a
large piece of land, 1Ha (10 000 square meters of land) and… it must
have a view.
And then one day we, my wife and I were ready, I had walked through this
home in my head many, many times and now the time was right. We started
to look for land, I wanted to build but we looked at all options and
this took about 12 months until one day we were called to come and view
a piece of land in an area we were not familiar with. We arrived, it
was large, sloping South, about 250m long and 80m wide, long African
bush veld, big trees, birds and a magnificent 180 degree view looking
out for ever way into the distance – the stand size, 10 050 square
meters. We bought it a week later.
We now started working on the home, gave our architect a brief and apart
from him making the bedroom areas more practical he just about designed
the living area as I had imagined it – we didn’t have to change any of
the design, the land, the house, the view, our sanctuary. We have lived in the house just short of 5 years now”
Thank you Dorian for sharing this inspiring example with us!
Do you have an example like Dorian too of consciously visualizing something -big or small- and attracting it into your life as a consequence? Please let me know, I love to share your stories and could use some more!
